The Auryn Quartet created a festival of concerts in 2007 dedicated to chamber-music, which takes place annually in the town of Este in the Veneto region of Italy. (Show map) The idea of the Festival was to enable the Auryns to work and perform with other musicians away from their normally hectic concert schedule, inviting friends, family and acquaintances from all over the world to come and enjoy a week of exquisite music-making.
Taking time to rehearse, to eat and drink together and absorb the atmosphere of the Veneto (see Wikipedia Link below) and its people has become a welcome regular feature in the Auryn schedule: a veritable musical oasis in the hustle and bustle of everyday concert-life.
The concerts take place in the beautiful 12th-century church of San Martino in Este.
All concerts start at 20.45hrs and tickets are available at the door ( €5, children free), or via the Comune di Este (see Link below)
